About Joan

I was born third eldest in a family of nine; raised in a small farming community in Saskatchewan where I learned good family values and the value of hard work. After attending 5 years of University at the University of Regina I graduated with a B.A. in Anthropology and a B.ED. in History. I pursued a career in teaching for five years in Saskatchewan but found myself interested in other fields. I began to sell Registered Education Savings Plans to parents with young children and as it turned out I had a good sense of sales. I quickly rose in the company to District Manager . Eventually my husband, Bruce and I purchased a franchise and moved to Winnipeg where we successfully operated our business and where I rose to national recognition by increasing sales from last out of the 32 Canadian franchises to fifth in just 3 years.

In 1989 we moved with our 2 young children to Victoria and in 1990 I was licensed as a real estate salesperson. In my first year of sales I earned the silver MLS award. Over the years, I earned numerous sales awards, but more importantly, I feel that I have won the respect of my fellow workers in the real estate industry and the trust of my clients.

I look forward to helping others obtain their real estate dreams. My goal is to provide top notch service in a friendly knowledgeable manner. I have taken numerous sales, computer and technical classes to stay ahead in a rapidly changing market. I believe in personal service, I believe I am not your realtor for the transaction but your realtor for life.

I live in North Saanich with my husband of over 3 decades. We are empty nesters as our 2 adult children are living on their own. We filled the void left when the kids moved out with a mini schnauzer, Otto, he and I have done a fair amount of training, he performs in agility. Bruce and I enjoy playing tennis and ballroom dancing. I look forward to helping you with all your real estate needs.
